Private
Private patients do not need a medical referral to be seen. Payment is required on the day of treatment, with on the spot Health Insurance Claims available using the Hicaps system. Depending on the level of cover, your private health insurer will generally pay between half and two thirds of the treatment cost. You will need to bring your private health card with you. The gap payment can be made via cash, Visa, Mastercard or EFTPOS.
Medicare EPC (Enhanced Primary Care):
If you have a chronic medical condition that is being managed by your GP, and requires Physiotherapy treatment, you may be eligible for treatment under the Enhanced Primary Care Plan (EPC). This enables up to five Medicare-funded sessions each calendar year. Please discuss with your GP to find out if you are eligible.
Similiar to a GP rebate you pay the total cost of the consultation and the rebate of $56 will be reimbursed by Medicare on the same day. There is a gap payment of $50 for initial consultation, and $30 per review consultation. If you purchase equipment such as splint, oedema glove, exercise putty, there will additionally be a subsidised charge for these.
Workcover and TAC:
This practice specialises in treating compensable injuries from work or motor vehicle accidents. All WorkSafe (workcover) and Transport Accident Commission (TAC) patients require a referral from a medical practitioner. You must have lodged a claim prior to commencing treatment. Please bring all employment and insurance company details, and your claim number with you. All accounts are sent to the funding bodies and there are no out of pocket expenses.
Veterans Affairs (DVA)
Patients with a Gold Card are welcome with no out of pocket expenses. Please remember to bring your card with you.
Cancellation Fee:
There is a cancellation fee of $40 if cancellation is not made until day of appointment, or if you fail to attend without notification.
