Private
Private patients do not need a medical referral to be seen. Payment is required on the day of treatment, with on the spot Health Insurance Claims available using the Hicaps system. Depending on the level of cover, your private health insurer will generally pay between half and two thirds of the treatment cost. You will need to bring your private health card with you. The gap payment can be made via cash, Visa, Mastercard or EFTPOS.

Medicare (GP Chronic Condition Management Plan - GPCCMP) :
If you have a chronic medical condition that is being managed by your GP, and requires Physiotherapy and other professional treatment, you may be eligible for Physiotherapy treatment under the GP Chronic Condition Management Plan (GPCCMP). This enables up to five Medicare-subsidised sessions each calendar year. Please discuss with your GP to find out if you are eligible.

Similar to a GP rebate you pay the total cost of the consultation and the rebate of $61.80 will be resubmitted to Medicare on the same day. There is a gap payment of $60 for initial consultation, and $40 per review consultation. For health card holders the gap payment is $50 initial, and $30 review. If you purchase equipment such as splint, oedema glove, exercise putty, there will additionally be a subsidised charge for these.

Workcover and TAC:
This practice specialises in treating compensable injuries from work or motor vehicle accidents. All WorkSafe (workcover) and Transport Accident Commission (TAC) patients require a referral from a medical practitioner. You must have lodged a claim prior to commencing treatment. Please bring all employment and insurance company details, and your claim number with you. All accounts are sent to the funding bodies and there are no out of pocket expenses.

Veterans Affairs (DVA)
Patients with a Gold Card are welcome with no out of pocket expenses. Please remember to bring your card with you.

Aged Care Packages
Patients on a package can claim the in rooms consultations under their package. Please provide your AC ID and notify the Aged care Provider who will then set up a service agreement with Hands on Hands Physio. Once this is done you will not have to pay anything up front.

Cancellation Fee:
There is a cancellation fee of $40 if cancellation is not made within 24 hours of the appointment, or if you fail to attend without notification. SMS reminders are sent 72 hours prior to the consultation requesting you reply Y or N regarding your attendance. Please note there is often a waiting list and if you are unable to attend someone else will take the appointment slot if enough notice given.
